Nudity is part of the dramatic action of the musical as it enhances the themes of vulnerability, sexual liberation, and our dependence on material possessions. The nude scene WILL be included in HAIR and it will be handled in a professional manor that is non-gratuitous and is comfortable enough for both the actors and the audience members. Our director, Katie, is working with the lighting designer and choreographer to stage this scene in an appropriate, artistic manor. The cost of costuming the entire tribe is a large portion of our budget because each tribe member plays multiple roles.
